New FRIA research grants in A&M
Astrid Cantamessa is working under the supervision of Davide Ruffoni on a thesis project called "Biological and biomechanical characterization of the cement lines in healthy and osteoporotic bone".
Vinayak Gholap was awarded a grant to continue his research on the "Development of Multi-physics Multi-(time)-scale Methods for Shape-Memory-Composite Materials" in Ludovic Noels' laboratory.
Amaury Bilocq is starting a thesis on "Minimizing the impact of shock capturing method for scale resolved simulation of transonic turbulent flows" supervised by Koen Hillewaert and Vincent Terrapon.
Giuseppe Gangemi, researcher at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, starts a thesis on the "Development of a high-order fluid solver for multicomponent air plasma sheath" under the supervision of Koen Hillewaert.
We also congratulate the recipients of a second FRIA grant: Billy-Joe Bobach, Gaëtan Abeloos, Alexandra Tits, Juan Manuel Calleja Vázquez and Norman Marlier.
